    Half of Japanese feel the nation has a good relationship with South Korea, the highest reading in an annual survey since 2011 as leaders of the two countries try to forge closer ties. The result was up from 45% a year ago, according to the poll conducted May 24-26 by Japan’s Yomiuri newspaper and South Korean newspaper Hankook Ilbo. The survey found 42% of respondents in South Korea think the bilateral relationship is good, largely unchanged from 43% in the previous poll.
