For San Diego State University’s Class of 2025, commencement was more than a ceremony. It was a four-day celebration of resilience, achievement and community. It began May 15 at SDSU Imperial Valley and concluded Sunday night, May 18, at Viejas Arena. Thousands of graduates marked the end of their academic journeys and joined a growing alumni network of more than half a million Aztecs.

In what will be remembered as one of the most intense championship games in the league's history, San Diego State University claimed the Mountain West tournament title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament in a match that featured over a dozen lead changes and extended into three overtime periods. “I'm out of breath. I'm tired, so I know they're tired,” San Diego State head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson said.

San Diego State delivered a stunning upset in a physical battle, taking down No. 1 seed UNLV, 71-59, to advance to the conference tournament final. The odds were stacked high against SDSU in their match against UNLV at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
