Clem Burke, legendary drummer for punk rock band Blondie, died Monday at age 70 after a private battle with cancer. “When I do a drum fill, I try to make it interesting, catchy,” Burke said in a 2018 documentary by Sky Arts. “It almost becomes a hook to the song. I like to draw people into what I’m doing and enjoy it.”Burke got his start in marching bands and cover groups before he was recruited to Blondie in 1974.

What would the Toronto skyline be without the CN Tower? For 50 years, it has been a focal point of the city, an enduring beacon that thrills visitors and residents alike. The landmark juts up from the shoreline, as constant as the sky overhead. Canadian National Railway Company (CN) topped off the iconic tower half a century ago, on April 2, 1975. It opened to the public in 1976.

Joe Rogan says he won’t be going to Canada for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 315 later this spring because he doesn’t visit the country anymore. Rogan, who is widely known for his popular, but controversial “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, has been a colour commentator and interviewer for UFC since 1997.
