One night per year, the Riverton High School Wolverines and Lady Wolverines soccer teams take the field dressed in hot pink from head to toe, gunning for the on-field win in honor of a much bigger battle. Since launching the “Pink Game” initiative in 2022, the RHS soccer program has raised and donated over $31,000 directly to community members who are fighting cancer. Earlier this week, Fremont County Assessor Tara Berg had estimates to share regarding how much the county’s budget will decrease from last year. These are just estimates, she emphasized; long-term homeowner exemption applications will still be accepted through May 23. But right now, her figures are showing that the Fremont County government is looking at a $2 million-plus decrease in revenue. “This is just the county mills,” Berg clarified.
