Now, a senior, Donaldson decided to give the sport a try for the first time. So far, it looks like he is catching on.     ELIDA – Elida’s Lilly Sifrit was in the ‘zone’ during Monday’s non-league softball game against Bluffton. Sifrit was not thinking about throwing a no-hitter or perfect game. The sophomore left-hander was focused on retiring each Bluffton batter that came to the plate. And she did just that. Sifrit struck out 11 of the 15 batters she faced and retired the other four, as Elida run-ruled Bluffton 15-0 in five innings at Dorothy Edwards Field. Elida (3-5) pounded 15 base hits off Bluffton pitching.

    Apr. 5—WAYNESFIELD — Bath track-and-field coach Ryan Schadewald wanted to work out some kinks at Saturday's Joe Rider Horn Relays at Waynesfield-Goshen. It now appears that Bath is on the right path. AdvertisementBath notched both the boys' and girls' team titles on Saturday. On the boys' side, Bath scored 122 points, compared to second-place Spencerville's 96 points. Wapakoneta (73) and Waynesfield-Goshen (69.5) were close behind in third and fourth, respectively.
