But he understands the Braves have some variables to weigh before deciding whether it’s prudent to bring him back now while also trying not to overtax the bullpen during the club’s current stretch of 17 games in 17 days. “I feel good about my chances to give us a chance to win if I’m out there,” Strider said.

NATURAL GASJuly Natural Gas is higher this morning and is close to taking out the 100-day moving average. Yesterday’s EIA storage report showed supply increased slightly more than expected last week, and total storage was back above the five-year average for the first time since January 17. Storage was +104 bcf from the previous week versus +102 expected. The five-year average change for this week is +82.
Cotton Choppy Ahead of WASDE

COTTONJuly Cotton is higher this morning following a two-day selloff. The market has been consolidating since putting in a two-month high in April, but it has also managed to stay well above its post-tariff lows from earlier that month. It may be getting some support from lower dollar this morning after it reached its highest level since April 10 yesterday and overnight.

The fact that the crude oil market was able to withstand OPEC+’s announcement over the weekend that they would increase production another 411,000 barrels per day June is viewed as supportive.
Global Sugar Surplus in 2025/26

SUGARBrazil government data showed the nation exported 1.56 million metric tons of sugar in April, down from 1.89 million for the same period a year ago. In an update released yesterday, S&P Global had a world sugar supply/demand surplus of 1.92 million tons for 2025/26. They noted that dry conditions in Brazil in May could accelerate harvest and boost the sugar mix.

ATLANTA -- Spencer Strider took another step toward returning to Atlanta's rotation when he threw a bullpen session before the Braves bid adieu to a three-game winning streak with a 4-3 loss to the Reds on Wednesday night at Truist Park. As manager Brian Snitker spoke to reporters after the game, he said he hadn’t talked to the medical staff about the side session.
