    The Green Bay Packers stopped a two point try in the final minute to secure a third straight NFC North Division championship, beating a wounded but game Ravens team at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore 31-30. Trailing 31-17 late in the 4th, Baltimore rallied behind backup quarterback Tyler Huntley who scored twice on the ground to pull the Ravens to within one with :42 to play. Head Coach John Harbaugh had gambled all night with his offense and played for the lead by going for two.

    It took until Wednesday night for the Milwaukee Brewers to solve the starting pitching of the Chicago Cubs and they did it against their best pitcher in a 10-6 romp at American Family Field. Japanese rookie Shota Imanaga brought a 5-0 record with a 0.84 earned run average into the ballgame but Christian Yelich ripped a 441 foot, two run homer in the first inning off the Chicago ace.  Ian Happ hit a solo shot off Brewer starter Bryse Wilson but Milwaukee broke the game open with a five run third.

    19 year old Jillian Martin of Stow, Ohio won the 2024 USBC Queens title at the Ashwaubenon Lanes Tuesday night becoming the youngest champion ever in the Professional Women’s Bowling Congress major championship. Seeded third after match play, Martin dethroned defending champion Lindsay Boomershine 206-186 in her first match of the stepladder finals.

    The boys are back in town.  The Green Bay Packers held their second Organized Team Activity practice today, the first open to reporters.    They did some stretching and a few drills inside the Huston Center before heading outside on Ray Nitschke Field. Head Coach Matt LaFleur welcomed nearly a 100% attendance rate, only one player was excused for a personal matter, the best “voluntary” turnout since he got here in 2019.

    The longest road trip of the year is off to a rough start for the Milwaukee Brewers. After dropping two out of three in Houston, Milwaukee lost the opener of a three game series to the Marlins in Miami 3-2 in 10 innings Monday night.   The Crew was thrown a curve early when starter Joe Ross had to leave the game after the first inning with low back tightness. Manager Pat Murphy burned through 7 relievers the rest of the night.
