A motorcyclist died Friday night after a crash in the northwest valley. The crash happened at 5:58 p.m. at the intersection of West Lake Mead Boulevard and James Bilbray Drive, the Metropolitan Police Department said. In a statement, police said “a 2022 Suzuki GSX 600 motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Lake Mead, approaching James Bilbray in the middle of three travel lanes at a high rate of speed.

A pedestrian died after a hit-and-run crash in Summerlin on Monday night. The pedestrian was a 64-year-old man from Las Vegas. The crash happened at 8:38 p.m. on Park Run Drive in the “rear private drive of 10250 West Charleston Boulevard,” police said. In a statement, the Metropolitan Police Department said “a pedestrian was crossing the private drive on Park Run Drive west of Indigo Drive. A possible commercial vehicle was entering the private drive.

An illness linked to frozen oysters from South Korea has been reported in Southern Nevada. The Southern Nevada Health District released the following statement Monday afternoon:The district is “investigating cases of acute gastrointestinal illnesses linked to the consumption of certain frozen half-shell oysters from South Korea. To date, five Clark County residents have reported illness after consuming oysters associated with this investigation.

A male pedestrian died in a crash in the southeast valley Wednesday night. The crash happened at 8:51 p.m. on Glen Avenue, east of Stratford Avenue, the Metropolitan Police Department said. In a statement, police said “a 2006 Toyota Tacoma was traveling eastbound on Glen Avenue. A pedestrian was crossing Glen Avenue outside a marked or implied crosswalk. A collision occurred when the pedestrian entered the path of the Toyota.

A person riding an e-bike died in a crash Monday night in the central valley, police said. Another passenger on the e-bike was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a text. The crash happened on Jones Boulevard at West Eugene Avenue. Police said “a pickup truck was traveling southbound on Jones. An E-bike was traveling eastbound on Eugene.
