    LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Three California men were arrested Sunday after a traffic stop in York County. Just after 4 a.m., deputies pulled over a car on Interstate 80 about 9 miles southwest of York. During the stop, the deputy had probable cause to search the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said. According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy found two firearms, a knife, psilocybin mushrooms, hashish, prescription medication, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

    LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Gage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an ATV crash that sent two to the hospital. Just before 6:45 p.m. Saturday, law enforcement received multiple calls about a crash near Cherry and A streets in Blue Springs. Investigators said two 35-year-old men were riding their ATV north on A Street. Shortly after passing Cherry Street, officials said they lost control and rolled into a ditch.

    LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska athletic department on Monday announced the rekindling of a rivalry on the hardwood. The Nebraska men’s basketball team will take on Oklahoma at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Nov. 15. The two old conference rivals will face off for just the second time since 2010 as the Sooners lead the all-time series 105-83.

    LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium on Monday announced the passing of a 20-year-old California sea lion. On Saturday, Chino died from an intestinal mesenteric root tension, or twisting of the intestinal tract and support structures. Despite Chino’s long-standing history of good health, the zoo said his condition arose quickly and he was humanely euthanized. In a press release on Monday, the zoo said Chino has been a member of the zoo’s sea lion family since 2010.

    LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 19-ranked Nebraska softball team found out its placement in the 2025 NCAA Tournament on Sunday. The Huskers will head to the Baton Rouge Regional — hosted by LSU — joining UConn and Southeast Louisiana. Nebraska will be a No. 2 seed in that regional, matching up with No. 3 UConn on Friday at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
