    LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was arrested Friday after police say he crashed his car into a utility pole in northeast Lincoln. Just before 6 p.m., Lincoln Police — along with Lincoln Fire & Rescue — were sent to the area of 56th and Francis streets for an injury crash. According to LPD, a silver 2007 Dodge Caliber was driving south on 56th Street when the driver hit the curb, drove into a yard and hit a utility pole.

    LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A deputy was sent to the hospital Wednesday after authorities say his cruiser was hit in eastern Nebraska. Just before 2 a.m., the Butler County Sheriff’s Office said a patrol car was hit just south of the intersection of Highway 81 and Highway 92. According to authorities, the cruiser was not moving when it was hit by a vehicle going south on Highway 81 going. The vehicle struck the deputy’s cruiser on its side, the sheriff’s office said.

    LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The University of Wisconsin filed a lawsuit Friday saying Miami’s football team tampered with a Badgers player under a name, image and likeness contract, ESPN reports. The first-of-its-kind lawsuit mentions freshman defensive back Xavier Lucas, who left Wisconsin for Miami in January. According to ESPN, the Badgers staff refused to enter Lucas’ name into the transfer portal because he had signed a two-year revenue sharing contract with the university.

In a press release on Friday, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to County Road N and 125 Boulevard near Stromsburg just before 5 p.m.According to officials, a 2012 Ram pickup collided with a 1983 Chevy S-10 pickup driven by 28-year-old Elijah Greene.
