MONTANA - Temperatures today were in the 50s and 60s where there were showers and thunderstorms, and into the 70s elsewhere. Showers and thunderstorms were forming in many areas. A wind advisory has been issued until 8 pm for Fort Peck Lake where there could be gusts up to 40 mph. Winds were gusting up to 30 mph in the Glasgow area. A very unsettled weather pattern is expected through the weekend into next week across Montana.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms formed from Flathead Lake to near Conrad and from Glacier Park south along the divide. Showers and thunderstorms were also forming across southwest Montana.

MONTANA - A significant heat wave is on the horizon, with temperatures set to rise about 20 degrees above normal early this week. Some areas in Montana may see temperatures reaching the nineties, a notable increase from the usual seventies for this time of year.
