FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) - For the second year in a row, Mott’s Kamryn Johnston has qualified for nationals. Last year she made school history as the only women’s golfer to compete in the NJCAA National Championship Tournament. This season she placed fourth overall at districts to make it. SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - The Saginaw Valley State softball team earned the number one seed in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional and hosted Ferris State this afternoon. The game was scoreless in the sixth inning until Natalie Savage was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. The Cardinals would take a 1-0 lead. They’d add to it that same inning. Aalana Kimble singled up the middle which scored two to make it 3-0.

FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) - The Vehicle City Soccer Classic Committee held a media day at historic Atwood Stadium in Flint. Today, they made the official announcement that there will be three high school games played on May 17th and then the night cap would feature Flint City AFC kicking off their season at seven o’clock against FC Pontiac. At noon, Grand Blanc will play Mattawan, at 2:00 PM Powers Catholic will take on Stoney Creek and at four o’clock Davison clashes with Hartland.
