The one-term Governor was the reported runner-up to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate in the November election. Despite not being added to the ticket, Shapiro traveled the country campaigning for Harris.

Josh Shapiro was a far better candidate than Tim Walz. She likely made the bad choice to win Dearborn, but she didn’t even win Dearborn. Trump won in Dearborn Heights, where 39% of the residents are of Middle Eastern descent, defeating Harris 44% to 38.3%, with Stein at 15.1%.

Harris and Walz will rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday night; Shapiro is also expected to appear at the rally after previously campaigning on behalf of Harris in Cumberland and Montgomery counties leading up to Tuesday’s announcement.
