It's 100% this. Lots of pablum about how things "should" work but very few arguments that address the incredibly distorted climate of global trade that actually exists -- including the decades of Chinese cheating through the WTO. A lot of insults and emoting, though.

Abundance skeptics think it’s not a strong enough idea to run a 2028 presidential campaign on. Abundance advocates should make clear that opposing *this* is the 2026 and 2028 campaign. Abundance is a governing agenda for when you’re actually in power.

The way to understand good vs. bad abundance critiques is whether the critic has actually engaged w/ the work or not. Abundance is a blue city/state failure book. Ezra & Derek started writing about everything bagel liberalism & supply in 21-22. Way before Biden was uncool
