It’s a Monday night at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney and a capacity crowd of mostly black T-shirt clad people are gathered here to see ledgendary band The Cult in concert. First up is support band Mayatrix who hail from Western Australia. They’re a modern rock groove based band made up of vocal, guitar, bass, drums and various effects. Girl singer Moana has a striking stage presence and kept the crowd engaged throughout their performance.

On a Wednesday night at the Hordon Pavilion in Sydney we were treated to two famous acts all the way from the USA. First up was John 5 who recently toured as Motley Crue’s guitarist for their recent stadium tour. Let the hoedown begin. It was a cross between Doc Watson (a bluegrass great) and Eddie Van Halen. There were no vocals, just guitar and drums with occasional backing tracks.

Heading towards the Big Top at Moore Park, Sydney it was evident by the amount of vintage Cold Chisel T-shirts being worn by the flock of fans heading to the old Showgrounds as to what on this evening. This first act on was Karen Lee Andrews with an acoustic guitar, stomp box and vocals. She gave a good solid performance and received a good reaction from the small crowd that had arrived by then. Next up were The Cruel Sea, who hit the stage with their classic 90s groove.
