PHILADELPHIA − It's no accident that the Eagles drafted two players late in the NFL Draft whose fathers were long-tenured NFL players and former first-round picks. And really, the path to the Eagles for Drew Kendall and Myles Hinton is similar in many ways, but also quite different.

PHILADELPHIA − We have seen the Phillies' offense go hot and cold through much of the early season. OK, mostly cold. After all, the Phillies came into their May 2 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks ranked in the middle of the pack among MLB teams in slugging percentage, at .386. PHILADELPHIA − For Phillies closer Jose Alvarado, it was one of his most harrowing escape jams. There he was in a bases-loaded, no-out situation in the top of the eighth inning on April 29 against the Washington Nationals, the Phillies clinging to a 3-2 lead at the time. Alvarado reached back and proceeded to strike out Josh Bell, Dylan Crews and Alex Call to get out of the inning without allowing a run in a game the Phillies would come back to win 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth.

PHILADELPHIA − It might seem like the Eagles made a foolish decision to pick up the fifth-year option for defensive tackle Jordan Davis, guaranteeing someone who played only 37% of the defensive snaps last season nearly $13 million for 2026. In reality, the decision, first reported by Jordan Schultz of FoxSports, was a no-brainer. And it also guarantees that the Eagles most likely won't keep Davis beyond 2026, when he would be eligible for free agency.
