Just 130 decanters of Bowmore ARC-54 will be available on a global basis, and the limited-edition whisky will carry a £71,000 price tag. This is the final release in a high-profile collaboration between the Islay distillery and the luxury British sports car manufacturer. Each handblown decanter draws inspiration from the aerodynamic exterior of the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar. For any petrolheads, that includes the full-length venturi tunnels, which contribute to around 1,100kg of downforce.

The Van Winkle Selection ended up becoming the most valuable single bottle of post-prohibition American whiskey ever sold at auction.

Chateau Montelena has gone from strength to strength in the ensuing years, but it now has one eye on the future.
