Politics - U.S. Domestic My father was an intelligence analyst for the U.S. Air Force. He had a few quirks, and one of them was keeping up with the latest theories on the JFK assassination. He even went the extra mile to collect what he could. He had the ticker tape from the New York times as the story broke over the wire, the life magazine with JFK on the cover, and a few odd documents. He wasn't a fanatic... but he paid attention.

Research in contextWe searched PubMed for studies about dementia prediction model published up to June 2023, using the search terms “(dementia OR Alzheimer’s Disease) AND (predict∗) AND (model OR risk score)”, with the language restricted to English and Chinese. Previous dementia prediction models were constructed with either a clinical-driven selection of established risk factors using traditional statistical models, or a data-driven selection of features using machine learning algorithms.

Geopolitics - Middle East I was discussing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with my partner last night. Not in the way you think, but in terms of what the heck I should write about. Most of my articles deal with Geopolitics and Conflict and it feels remiss not to address some parts of the conflict. I spent almost a full year of full-time study on the formation of Israel and the history of these conflicts during my Masters degree.
