The beautifully crafted white and gold postbox, described as a 'symbol of remembrance', was unveiled at a cemetery. It is designed to help people struggling with their grief. Helping Lyme Regis Town Council launch the Postbox to Heaven were Freddy and Daisy Taylor along with their mother Jacki. Their dad, and Jacki's husband Kev, recently died.

14 1/1 TORCHES and a beacon lit up the evening sky as a community came together to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day. Lyme Regis invited the community to come together for a day of remembrance, reflection, and celebration. It started with the raising of the VE Day flag at the Guildhall and proclamation by the town crier. Later there was a service at the war memorial and then in the evening a torchlight procession and lighting of the beacon.
