Statsministeren og president Donald Trump fant en varm tone, den unike alliansen mellom landene ble fremhevet. Presidenten ble berømmet for fredsforsøkene i Ukraina, i retur overøste han kongen med komplimenter. Statsministeren kvitterte med å invitere til statsbesøk.
