Financial Times

The Financial Times (FT) is a daily broadsheet newspaper that is also available online, concentrating on business and economic news. It is headquartered in London, England, and is owned by the Japanese company Nikkei, which has main editorial offices located in the UK, the US, and across Europe. In July 2015, Pearson sold the FT to Nikkei for £844 million (approximately US$1.32 billion), after having owned it since 1957. By Spring 2019, the publication had reached one million paying subscribers, with about 75% of those being digital subscribers. The Financial Times is well-known for its in-depth financial journalism and economic insights, which can be met with both praise and criticism. Additionally, the paper hosts an annual book award and features a "Person of the Year" segment.
