Frankly, this comic is delightful. The story bursts through the page/screen just like all the times Raven crashes down into whatever building. The Madness is here to smash everything and take no prisoners.

In its theatrical release, Bob Marley: One Love opens with a prologue from Ziggy Marley, the chief child of Bob and the driving force behind cementing Marley’s ongoing legacy in the 21st century. It’s gone from the streaming version, but…On one hand, it’s a signal of authenticity, that this story of a Black man is held in Black hands. On the other hand, it also invites the question of just how real this story is going to get.

Each episode contains several straight-up bars in the dialogue, the awesome joy of superpowers, sexy melodrama; and kick-ass fights. The show keys into what made the original series work, and then remixes fan-familiar storylines while making the show relevant to today. It’s everything you could want in a revival.

We’re awash in multiverses!The appeal of the multiverse, an escape to another world, another you, another everything, sounds really good after a doomscrolling session. Of course, the promise of multiverses and parallel realities for ongoing projects also creates the Pringles Dilemma: once you pop, you can’t stop. Rick & Morty built an entire cartoon off it. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Five is completely tangled up in it after Loki unlocked it in Avengers: Endgame.
