SaLas Vegas will flirt with record temperatures today and Tuesday, says the National Weather Service. At 9:40 a.m. the mercury at the official airport measuring station had already reached 63, a few degrees above the normal high for Feb. 3. “We are forecasting a high of 76,” meteorologist Brian Planz said. The record for the date is 77, set in 2018. The Tuesday high will be about the same and the record for Feb. 4 is 76, set in 1953.

Metro police had two brief appearances Friday night in the department’s debut on the television show “On Patrol: Live”. Independent television network Reelz has a new episode of the show every Friday night, showing live video of officers from several departments across the country. Live segments from other departments included the pursuit of a fleeing convicted murder in heavy wooded terrain as well as multiple gun possession or drug trafficking situations.

A juvenile driver is facing multiple charges in a mid-January northeast Las Vegas crash that killed a bicyclist. The Nevada Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit has booked the unnamed individual on five felony and two misdemeanor charges, according to a Friday news release. The crash occurred Jan.

A five-vehicle collision sent one motorist to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and injured two others Thursday afternoon. The crash occurred about 1 p.m. near South Jones Boulevard and West Harmon Avenue, according to a Metropolitan Police Department news release. The critically injured motorist was taken to University Medical Center while the other two suffered minor injuries. No other details were available. Police advised motorists to avoid the area.

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in the northeast Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday afternoon. The collision occurred about 3:36 p.m. at Las Vegas Boulevard North and North Lamb Boulevard. The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center and later pronounced deceased, according to a Metropolitan Police Department news release. The driver remained at the scene. Metro’s fatal detail is investigating. Motorists should avoid the area because of road closures for the investigation.
