The Stanley Cup has a long and storied history. Over 125-plus years of hockey excellence have come and gone and it still remains one of the coolest trophies in all of sports. It's also extremely difficult to win the Stanley Cup nowadays. Unlike in the early years, the NHL now has 32 teams vying for contention every season in the modern era. With limitations like the salary cap and player contracts in the mix as well, it's no wonder it's a hard mountain to climb.

Winning a single Stanley Cup is hard enough as it is, but winning multiple championships in the NHL is something to be celebrated. Before the modern game, NHL head coaches had way longer shelf lives than their current day counterparts do, meaning many bench bosses of the time were able to rake in the Stanley Cup wins with some incredibly talented hockey teams. Nowadays, it's a lot harder to stick around with a franchise unless you're constantly at the top of the league.

It's an incredible honor to have your name etched upon the Stanley Cup even once in your lifetime. For some NHL players, they have their names carved into the Stanley Cup multiple times! The Stanley Cup is one of the hardest trophies to win in sports and being able to lift it over your head in celebration is what every NHL player dreams of. However, not everyone gets to climb the summit and emerge as NHL champions, let alone multiple times.

It hasn't been a banner season for the Colorado Rockies, but the franchise took its latest L in the most unlikely of places: a rejection from Mrs. Met herself. Long-time internet goers by now know of the existence of a very loud, very rambunctious section of baseball fandom that is — to put it bluntly — down bad for New York Mets mascot Mrs. Met. Despite being happily married, Mrs. Met has endured countless propositions from baseball fans and mascots over the years.
