ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - News Channel 5 has learned of an incident involving THC at a Cenla middle school after a report from a concerned parent. According to the parent, on Thursday, May 16, her 13-year-old child was given and ate candy containing THC, described as looking like ‘Nerd rope candy’ while at Arthur F. Smith Middle Magnet School. The parent alleges another student was passing out the candy to multiple other children.

(KALB) - Don’t forget, early voting is officially underway for the March 23 Presidential Primary in Louisiana. It runs through this Saturday, March 16. You can vote between 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day. Remember, Louisiana’s primary is closed, so you can only vote for candidates in your registered party. In Rapides Parish, you can early vote at the Rapides Parish Courthouse in Alexandria or across the river in Pineville at the Kees Park Community Center.
