Canada and the United States have ordered sweeping tariffs against each other – the first shots fired in what could be a grisly and costly trade war. Experts have warned Canadians and Americans will feel the crossfire in layoffs and rising prices. Trump also unleashed tariffs against Mexico and, to a lesser extent, China. This morning, Mexico’s president said she had reached a deal to delay the tariffs by one month. No such deal exists for Canada yet.
