I made a promise to pursue my writing more often here, so here is me showing up. The moment you begin to write and the moment you realise that someone else is reading your words, an inner veil starts to make itself prominent. You realize that there’s a little difference in what you put down on paper. A smidge of self-censorship creeps in. You want to appear better than you are. You want to appear smarter, more concise, and more eloquent than you are.

This year, 2024, I want to get back into a regular writing habit after nearly a year of stopping writing. The aim is to write and post my unfiltered thoughts, three times a weekIt’s bleary day in grey January. The sky outside perfectly matches my mood. It feels like the sun will not visit today and I peer at the clouds from under a veil. I don’t know what to do with this sluggishness. Or wearyness within me. This feeling of wanting to sleep and rest all the time. And, just catch up with myself.
