    A Leicestershire charity shop has issued a warning to drivers who have been using its donation area for free parking. Staff at the Air Ambulance shop in Hinckley say drivers are parking in spaces meant for people dropping off donations. The shop took to social media with a "polite reminder" on Saturday (May 3). They reported that on one morning two spaces for the donation area were taken up by two cars and a white van without making any contributions to the store itself.

    THE LIB Dems have secured the most Hinckley and Bosworth seats in what they have hailed as their ‘best ever’ result in a county council election today (2 May). While Leicestershire County Council as a whole is now under No Overall Control (NOC) and Reform have the most seats there with 25, followed by Conservatives at 15, and the Liberal Democrats at 11, the Lib Dems retained four Hinckley and Bosworth seats, and gained one.

    A popular Leicestershire cafe bar is set to temporarily close for a makeover. Tarro Lounge in The Crescent, Hinckley, will shut its doors while introducing a refreshed look and updated menu offerings to customers. The establishment announced the upcoming closure through social media, reports the Hinckley Free Press. Staff said the venue would remain closed for nearly a week. In their announcement, the cafe bar apologised for any inconvenience to regular customers during the refurbishment period.
