PENDLETON COUNTY, W.Va. (WHSV) - Lawrence Puffenbarger, the man accused of sexually abusing multiple children in Pendleton County who’s also known as “Grasshopper,” was back in court Tuesday for another status hearing. This comes just over one month since his last hearing May 1, and Tuesday’s hearing was meant to go through the psychological evaluations of the juvenile victims. However, there has been a sudden change of events.

LURAY, Va. (WHSV) - Page County residents are cleaning up downed trees, torn up homes and destroyed property after a tornado blew through the area Friday evening. The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado as an EF-0 with winds peaking at 75 miles per hour and a storm path extending 1.1 miles. Marty Breeden has lived in Luray for over 60 years, and he said Friday’s twister brought the worst storm he has ever seen.

PAGE COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) - Automotive technology students and welding students at Page County Technical Center recently joined forces in a fun project: creating a bench using an old truck bed, fusing the pieces together and wiring taillights. Automotive Instructor Paul Strassner said this was a way for students to learn in an engaging way while also fusing two separate workforces into one.
