Online education to the school children is a new phenomenon which was started during the COVID period. Since the Novel Corona Virus was highly contagious and would spread fast in the crowded places, the schools were closed to avoid students mixing in groups. However to avoid the loss of studies, the online education method was adopted. Several applications for online education were also developed during that period. This helped a section of the students to continue the learning process.

The state of school education in Chhattisgarh can be judged from the fact that more than 3000 schools in the state do not have principals and 8194 posts of teachers, more than 22000 posts of assistant teachers and 2524 posts of lecturers are vacant. Out of 56333 schools run by the government, more than 300 schools are without teachers, while 5500 schools have only one teacher and 3978 primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools are being run in the same campus.
