We’re still far from perfect, but the smoke will certainly be a lot thinner today. Other than any air quality impacts, today’s forecast and the weekend are in pretty nice shape! The Air Quality Advisories remaining will expire at noon today. SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - Rain showers from Wednesday’s cold front have been making a very slow exit early this Thursday morning. By mid-morning once all of the rain leaves, the rest of today actually holds some very pleasant weather conditions! The caveat is still the smoke though. More near-surface smoke is returning behind the rain, continuing this stretch of diminished air quality. Michigan EGLE has declared an Air Quality Alert for parts of our area today.

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - Wildfire smoke will remain present around mid-Michigan today, but shifting gears a bit, we are tracking some rain which returns today! After drying out for several days, we could certainly use a little refresh. We’re First Alerting you to a slow arrival of these showers though as the cold front is moving along more at a “walking” than a “running” pace. TodayEarly this morning, showers are already just outside of mid-Michigan.
