Waffling about cars for @PistonHeads. Dreaming of a Caterham probably. Keen to travel more too. Thanks Hull. Thanks Dan.

However inevitable the reality was, it’s still a bit sad not to see any naturally aspirated V8s on the Lexus homepage anymore. They hung on right until the bitter end, but now there’s nothing with fewer than five doors and no engine larger than 2.5 litres on offer. Pity. There’s still some weird and wonderful stuff at least: who else but Lexus could offer the LM MPV at £95k? The LBX looks funky, too, and there remains some hope that it could get the GR Yaris powertrain in time.

It’s easy to see why the off-road sports car might appeal. There’s the slight silliness to the concept, of course, taking cars designed for smooth tarmac off the beaten track, while also making them - whisper it - a bit more engaging to drive. Some squidge in the tyres and some roll in the suspension return sensations lost to super sticky tyres and track-spec dampers. Little surprise, then, that the demand was considerable for cars like the Huracan Sterrato, 911 Dakar, and Morgan CX-T.

These seem like good times at Morgan. The Midsummer collaboration with Pininfarina feels like something that wouldn’t have happened just a few years ago. The Super 3 has brilliantly updated the three-wheeled formula, and the Plus Four continues to be raved about. Morgan has a line-up of cool, desirable, capable sports cars, albeit ones that could only have come out of Pickersleigh Road.

They say you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone, but it's unlikely that anyone expected the old adage to apply to Volvo estates. Yet here we are, with the V60 and V90 back on the Volvo UK website, having been removed from sale for almost a year between August 2023 and July 2024. A couple of years back the brand made them unavailable to customers so it might focus its attention on SUVs; which, in the current climate, didn’t seem like a terrible idea.

Nothing stays still on planet Porsche for long. The latest and greatest 911 GT3 R race car has only been in production since 2023, but already a refresh for 2026 is being prepared. Time waits for nobody in top level sportscar racing, and there’s added impetus for more 911 evolution with the recently introduced, very prestigious LMGT3 class in the World Endurance Championship.

First go on new GT3 configurator probably won't be the last! I know a Touring is meant to be subtle, but couldn't resist this - it's SeanPeach after Sean Wotherspoon, some cool dude trainer designer. Added to PTS not long ago, it seems! https://t.co/KSl42gabOc

Trying not to be too 'perfect, no notes' about this, but it's exactly how I'd do an 86 (when not tempted by supercharged silliness): NA tune, gold wheels, zorst, big brakes. Love it. PH auction soon! https://t.co/08mlYt5EE7 https://t.co/laRnjNOqcB

FOR SALE! One of the nicest ones I've seen. And I've seen more than is probably healthy. Look at those seats!

Anybody know someone who’s in the market for a GR86? @PHMattB @Carpervert Mine is available either in modified or (mostly) stock form. One of the UKs most modified GR86s at this moment in time. Contact me if interested. https://t.co/jiyJmbHEcY
