A weed dealer has admitted to causing the death of a 7-year-old boy and 35-year-old man in a devastating house explosion in Newcastle. Reece Galbraith, 33, admitted two counts of manslaughter and the production and supply of cannabis at Newcastle Crown Court after the blast levelled a property in the city in October last year and killed two people, including a seven-year-old boy.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of concealing a birth, neglect and infanticide after her newborn baby boy was found dead inside a Marks & Spencer bag outside a church in west London, the Metropolitan Police said. As many as 100,000 people are feared dead and many more missing following a massive 8.2 magnitude earthquake that razed buildings to the ground across Myanmar and Thailand. High-rise buildings were reduced to piles of rubble and vast clouds of dust were launched into the air above Thai capital Bangkok this morning when the earthquake radiated from around 16km (10 miles) north-west of the city of Sagaing at a depth of 10km, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
