FREDERICKSBURG, Texas — A deadly shooting investigation in the Texas Hill County that KVUE reported on nearly a year ago has taken a surprising turn. In March 2024, Amy Lejeune said she shot and killed 49-year-old Lance Reid, claiming he drugged and kidnapped her in Fredericksburg while they were on a planned weekend together. "Disbelief. Lance would never do anything like that," Barry Reid, Lance Reid's father, told KVUE's sister station KHOU at the time of his death.

It’s been a while since I’ve properly watched a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie. I skipped over Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania partly due to its COVID-era release and partly due to my lack of interest in seeing Jonathan Majors awkwardly ham it up. I skipped The Marvels because as much as I love Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan, I’m not partial to Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers.

If there’s one unexpectedly prevalent genre of films that has popped up in recent years, it’s the “unassuming mild-mannered, middle-aged man is actually a secret murdering badass” genre. Some of them, a la Keanu Reeve’s John Wick series or Bob Odenkirk’s Nobody are passable character explorations with delightfully bone-crunchy action scenes. Others, like Liam Neeson’saction fare post-Taken or the most recent Indiana Jones film, require a much higher suspension of disbelief.

AUSTIN, Texas — TxDOT crews have been preparing for the winter weather that could bring snow and sleet to Central Texas on Monday and Tuesday. With temperatures dipping below freezing, TxDOT trucks have been all over Central Texas treating the roads, covering 11 counties, including Travis and Williamson counties. TxDOT has been using brine to pretreat the roads. "It's a saltwater solution and it helps prevent ice from bonding to roadways," said Jeff Barker, spokesperson for TxDOT.
