KAdrian Redmond, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive lineman from DeSoto High School (Texas), is quickly emerging as one of the nation’s most coveted interior prospects in the 2027 class. This spring, Redmond gained crucial insight into several in-state programs with unofficial visits to TCU, Texas, and Texas A&M. Most recently, he visited Austin for the second time this year and came away impressed with what the Longhorns have to offer after watching a scrimmage. “It was great,” stated Redmond.

Notre Dame appears poised to exit the spring transfer portal window in a strong position. Marcus Freeman has watched his program add key pieces, get through spring football without major injuries and avoid significant departures (to this point) with less than 48 hours remaining to enter the portal. In fact, Freeman was quick to say he believes the program is in a strong spot following the completion of spring practice, as the Fighting Irish executed one of his core pillars of success.

Notre Dame quarterback Steve Angeli is expected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal as a graduate transfer, per a source close to the signal-caller. 247Sports was the first to report. The New Jersey native appeared in 21 games for the Irish over the last three seasons. Angeli will finish his time at Notre Dame completing 58-of-80 passes for 772 yards, 10 touchdowns and just one interception.

Notre Dame safety Kennedy Urlacher will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal per multiple sources. Hayes Fawcett was the first to report. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder appeared in 14 games as a freshman in 2024 and recorded 12 tackles on the season. Urlacher played a role on special teams (128 plays) and 65 snaps on defense, including a season-high 23 plays against Purdue. In fact, Urlacher made at least one tackle in every game outside of the Louisville game.
