    CRATER LAKE, Ore. -- The North Entrance to Crater Lake National Park has reopened in time for the summer season.     Today: It won't be as warm and winds will turn blustery for inland areas, peak gusts between 20-30 mph. We may see a few showers and thunderstorms fire up this afternoon and evening east of the Cascades and down into Siskiyou County. High temperatures are expected in the lower to middle 80s in our westside valleys with upper 70s to lower 80s expected in the Klamath Basin. Along the Coast highs make it into the lower 60s. Tonight: Overnight the region will stay dry with clear skies.

    Today: Father's Day weekend looks to stay pretty quiet for us with dry weather expected. For your Saturday, we'll see clouds increase throughout the day, especially for the eastside and in Northern California. Winds will be breezy at the coast, and we'll see inland winds picking up in the afternoon again too. Highs will be a little warmer than Friday with lower 80s on tap for westside valleys and upper 70s for the Klamath Basin. Along the coast, highs will be in the lower to middle 60s.

    A HEAT ADVISORY has been issued for our westside valleys of Jackson, Josephine, eastern Curry and central and western Siskiyou Counties from 11 AM Sunday through 8 PM Monday. Click the 'Alerts' tab above for more details. Today: We'll stay very hot inland, but thunderstorm chances will expand a bit into Southern Oregon. Best chances for storms will still be down in Northern California, but we could see a thunderstorm later in the day even in the Rogue Valley.

    Today: We will start to heat things up on Friday with highs climbing into the lower 90s in our westside valleys with middle 80s expected in the Klamath Basin. Winds will start backing off for southern parts of the Curry County coast with the return of some marine layer clouds. Highs will be in the 60s to around 70 degrees along the coast. Otherwise, the rest of the region will see mostly sunny skies with some passing higher level clouds through the day.
