hello world!Sony has been pretty adamant about having a Spider-Man franchise without Spider-Man. They’ve been making all these films based on different Spider-Man characters and hoping that something sticks. Earlier this year, they tried with Madame Web (which was god-awful), and they have Kraven the Hunter dropping in a few weeks. But so far, only one film series from this Spider-less universe has had any legs: Venom.

Nuns. Who would have thought a game about nuns would be so damn enjoyable? They’re reserved, pious and a fairly boring subject matter unless you’re making something in the horror genre. I can’t think of there being one other video game with a nun protagonist. Think about it and sound off in the comments if you can. But all that has changed with Indika. Indika is a third-person puzzle adventure from Odd-Meter, the perfect name for the developer of this game.

The new Planet of the Apes means a lot to me, especially Caesar, who the great Andy Serkis played. I was fortunate enough to meet the man himself and tell him how much the trilogy meant for me during my time of healing, and I think that’s greatness in itself. So when people say that movies or any kind of media can help a healing journey, I fully support that statement because I know it is true. Given how much these movies mean to me, I was apprehensive when the next installment was announced.

Ultros. I have never played a game like it before. It has Metroidvania elements, but it’s not a classic Metroidvania. It has Rogue-like elements, but it is definitely not a Rogue-like. It has gardening sim elements, but it’s not really gardening sim. Ultros is a truly singular game. And I’ve been having a blast. Ultros, developed by Hadoque and published by Kepler Interactive, was released on February 13th on PC, Mac, and PlayStation 4 and 5.

All aboard the Switch train!Metro Simulator 2 debuted on the Nintendo Switch on the 21st of February this year, thanks to Ultimate Games S.A., and I was lucky enough to take it for a test drive for review. Metro Simulator 2 allows players to become subway train drivers in Moscow’s iconic subway system. Players can take charge and drive two trains with different control systems and a subway with 24 stations. Going into this simulator, I didn’t really have much knowledge of trains at all.
