hello world!With Assassin’s Creed Shadows set to release on the 20th of March this year, I wanted to go back and look at my top three Assassin’s Creed games. Why? Because I’m keen as a bean for Shadows, I don’t care what anyone says…I’m willing to give it a chance! Now, I don’t think there is a bad Assassin’s Creed game, per se; some are just way better than others on the franchise spectrum. With that being said, let’s take a leap of faith and dive in!Where it all began! Where history was made.

hello world!I will start by saying that I absolutely loved Dragon Age: The Veilguard. I’m not afraid to admit that. I like what I like. As a person with ADHD, I was so happy with the way that the companion system was set up. I didn’t have to worry about their health on top of mine. I understand that some long time Dragon Age fans are annoyed by that, but holy crap, it’s a relief and takes a ton of stress off me.

hello world!Sony has been pretty adamant about having a Spider-Man franchise without Spider-Man. They’ve been making all these films based on different Spider-Man characters and hoping that something sticks. Earlier this year, they tried with Madame Web (which was god-awful), and they have Kraven the Hunter dropping in a few weeks. But so far, only one film series from this Spider-less universe has had any legs: Venom.

PAX Aus is over again for another year. It simultaneously feels like it was an eternity and over in the blink of an eye, leaving you feeling a little empty inside. But it’s no fun to dwell on the fact that Australia’s biggest gaming convention is over for another year.

Well, just like that, PAX Aus is done for another year, reminding us of the inevitable entropy of the universe and our immeasurably insignificant place in the world as we whittle down our finite time on our path to the grave…On a lighter note, PAX being over means we get to run down some of the surprises of the convention that I would never have imagined would be up my street (figuratively, not literally; my area hasn’t undergone significant development in years).

PAX Aus 2024 is less than a month away (holy shit, I’ve got to start packing!), and the PAX AUS team have released the panel schedule for the weekend so we can mark out which panels we’re planning on seeing over the frantic three days. Last year, I didn’t get a good chance to plan my schedule, which, in hindsight, was a big rookie mistake.

Beetlejuice (1988) was one of my favorite movies growing up, so when my daughter was old enough to enjoy something from my childhood, I jumped on the chance to watch it with her. She is seven but absolutely LOVES anything weird and creepy, which makes Halloween incredibly fun. I figured the original Beetlejuice movie would be a great introduction to everything I loved while catering to her love of creepy things at the same time. She obviously loved it.
