PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - After 22 years of leading the Division III Gwynedd Mercy University men's basketball team, John Baron is moving to a new home. Baron is one of the Philly area's top coaches. During his time at Gwynedd Mercy, he produced 404 victories and six appearances in the D3 NCAA Tournament. And now, he's taking his talents to Division II Holy Family University in Northeast Philadelphia to coach their men's basketball team.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - Jackie Hartzell has been one of the Philadelphia area's top women's college basketball coaches for the last 11 years. At Division II University of the Sciences, Hartzell led the Devils to five NCAA Tournament appearances in eight seasons, winning more than 76% of her games (185-57). After Sciences dropped athletics and merged with Saint Joseph's University, Hartzell moved to Division III Arcadia University in Glenside where she went 54-26 in three seasons.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - Three local teams have qualified for the Division II men's and women's basketball tournaments. On the women's side, Holy Family University in Northeast Philadelphia earned an automatic bid into the field by winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title. The 24-6 Tigers are the No. 3 seed in the East Region, and they will take on the No. 6 seed, Assumption College, in the first round on Friday.

DelVal returns to the dance On the men's side, Delaware Valley University (15-12) captured an automatic bid by winning the MAC Freedom conference and the Aggies will take on 26-1 Wesleyan in Middletown, Connecticut on Friday at 7pm.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - Tom Shirley, long-time head coach of women's basketball at Thomas Jefferson University, reached a historic milestone Wednesday night in East Falls: He picked up his 900th career win. The Rams beat the Caldwell University Cougars 58-33 at the Gallagher Center. Shirley now has a career coaching record of 900 wins and 384 losses.
