    A bit of a late bloomer to the game of golf, Max fell in love with the sport when he attended Saturday coaching sessions down at his local golf club after being inspired by friends and family members. Max has remained a member of Eden Golf Club in Carlisle for a number of years now as he looks to get his handicap down into single figures. Most of his golfing career has been spent battling a permanent slice off the tee, which has led to some ugly rounds.

    Now on the wrong side of 25, Matt has been playing golf since the age of 13 and was largely inspired to take up the game by countless family members who played golf during his childhood. Matt is a member at Royal Cinque Ports in Deal playing off a 5 handicap, just a pitching wedge away from his hometown of Dover where he went to school and grew up. He has previously been a member at Etchinghill and Walmer and Kingsdown in Kent.

In fact, Tiger Woods’ jubilant parade to a momentous victory in the Masters 25 years ago was so regal, he should have been carried through the towering pines, dogwoods, and azaleas of Augusta National on a sedan chair. If Gene Sarazen’s famous albatross in the 1935 Masters was the “shot heard round the world”, then Tiger Woods 1997 Masters epic episode was probably heard in outer space. It was a seismic moment which changed the face of golf forever.

He might even throw in who designed the golf course and how many rooms the hotel has got at each one…Matt got into the game of golf from a young age, following his old man to the local golf club. He fell for the sport, and now can’t seem to go a day without thinking about how to improve his game (Thanks Dad!).
