    The body of Athrun Dominic Lombardo, aged 16, was recovered on Wednesday, May 14, having been reported missing in Wales by his mother, Catherine, four days earlier. Athrun, of Emersons Green, was pronounced deceased at 8.10pm on May 14 by a paramedic at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution station in Conwy. At County Hall, Ruthin on Tuesday afternoon (June 2), John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales (East and Central) opened the inquest into Athrun’s death.

On May 28, police carried out a series of warrants in Bangor, Bethesda and Caernarfon, leading to five adults being arrested for drugs, weapons and money-laundering offences. Cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine and cannabis were also seized.

    Woman, 83, who died following crash near Bronnington in Wrexham is named (Image: NQ) A WOMAN who was killed in a crash near the Wrexham-Shropshire border has been named. Iris June Frodsham, of Bridgemere Lane, Hunsterson, Nantwich, died aged 83 on Tuesday, May 13. The inquest into Ms Frodsham’s death opened at County Hall, Ruthin this afternoon (May 27). Ms Frodsham, a retired secretary, was a passenger in a vehicle which was involved in a collision on the A495.
