Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue units responded to reports of a boat on fire outside a home along the 3500 block of Northwest 33rd Street, just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A Plantation Police officer is sharing his story of survival after a months-long battle with head and neck cancer. When he wasn’t in uniform as an officer for Plantation, Adam Rigg enjoyed going fishing and spent a lot of his time outdoors in the sun. “I started noticing a small bump on the side of my chin,” Rigg said. He already had a history of skin cancer on his face, so when the bump didn’t go away, he went to get it checked out by a doctor.

KEY LARGO, FLA. (WSVN) - Danger, an orphaned manatee calf, is headed to Orlando for rehabilitation after being rescued by Good Samaritans in the Florida Keys. A Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission Officer poured water on an orphaned manatee calf after it was rescued from Largo Sound in Key Largo on Tuesday. Two good Samaritans, Alex and Shannon Constantinides were on a trip to the flats off Key Largo that morning to target smaller backcountry fish.

A family, wearing matching yellow T-shirts, were ready to take an epic voyage on the newest ship on Wednesday. “Wait, let me get pretty,” said one family member who wanted to take a photo in front of the ship. “The whole family is here, 18 of us,” said Wesley Mar.

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A 17-year-old was rushed to the hospital after being wounded in Northwest Miami-Dade. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and Fire Rescue units responded to the area of Northwest 24th Avenue and 48th Street in the Brownsville neighborhood of northwest Miami-Dade. Detectives said after he was stabbed, 17-year-old Anthony Crumbley tried running from his attacker, who pulled out a gun and shot towards him and a group of kids nearby.
