Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue units responded to reports of a boat on fire outside a home along the 3500 block of Northwest 33rd Street, just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A Plantation Police officer is sharing his story of survival after a months-long battle with head and neck cancer. When he wasn’t in uniform as an officer for Plantation, Adam Rigg enjoyed going fishing and spent a lot of his time outdoors in the sun. “I started noticing a small bump on the side of my chin,” Rigg said. He already had a history of skin cancer on his face, so when the bump didn’t go away, he went to get it checked out by a doctor.

MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - New surveillance video showed the moment rainwater started flooding an elevator at Vendome Place and the heroic actions of one man inside. Rick Sardana was heading down the rear elevator to move his sports car from the on-site parking to protect it from the heavy rain that fell across South Florida. He was riding the elevator with another man and his young daughter when the elevator got stuck.
