Florida State is off to a fast start in their 2027 recruiting class with four commitments, and it's earned them the top spot currently for the cycle on Rivals. They are on the hunt for more as four-star athlete Anthony Cartwright announced via his social media that the Seminoles made him an offer. The 247Sports composite rankings lists Cartwright as the nation's No. 69 prospect, the No. 11 athlete, and the No. 4 recruit out of Michigan. On3 and Rivals have him as a tight end prospect.

Florida State currently has a top 15 recruiting class for the 2026 cycle. However, they don't have any commitments on the defensive line. One prospect they are interested in is defensive tackle Seven Cloud, who is committed to Georgia. The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder has summer official visits locked in with LSU (June 13), North Carolina (June 17, and Georgia (June 20). Via his social media on Wednesday, Cloud announced that he'll be back to visit Florida State on a multi-day official visit from June 6-8.

Florida State has already done a great job in the secondary when it comes to their 2026 recruiting class with blue-chip safeties Darryl Bell III and Tedarius Hughes committed. Per Zach Blostein of Noles247, the Seminoles are in a strong position to add to the backend of their defense as he put in a crystal ball prediction for FSU to land three-star defensive back Sean Johnson. The 247Sports composite rankings has Johnson as the nation's No. 511 overall recruit and the No. 43 cornerback.

Florida State's 2026 recruiting class is still holding up strong inside the top 15. One of the main reasons it's praised so much is four-star athlete Darryon Williams, who will play wide receiver for the Seminoles. Williams has been committed to FSU since last April. He made trips to Tallahassee for the Seminoles Elite Camp last June, and he also attended the game against Florida last season.

Florida State is having a great week when it comes to its 2027 recruiting class. Before they landed four-star cornerback Bryce Williams on Tuesday, they got a pledge from four-star athlete Kaneilius Purdy on Monday, giving the Seminoles their fourth commitment of the cycle and the best class in the country. Purdy only took two visits to FSU before he committed. The first came last February when he attended the Seminoles Junior Day festivities, and the other came at the same event last December.
