Arkansas Secretary of State Cole Jester announced his candidacy for state land commissioner on April 30. He will face fellow Republicans Christian Olson and Lance Restum in the primary. Jester was appointed secretary of state in December to fill the remainder of John Thurston’s term after Thurston was elected state treasurer. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders endorsed Jester shortly after his announcement.
