SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Reyte Rash and John Clifford each qualified to move on to the quarterfinals of their respective events Wednesday at the NCAA West Prelims in Sacramento. Rash finished third in the first heat of the men's 400m hurdles to automatically qualify for the quarterfinal round, running a school-record time of 50.76. The senior from Riverside bested his own school-record of 50.95 set two weeks ago at The Big West Championships. Rash finished 14th overall after all six heats had been run.

Big West ReleaseFULLERTON, Calif. — The Big West has named Cal State Fullerton track and field head coach Marques Barosso Men's Coach of the Year and John Clifford Men's Co-Athlete of the Year, the conference announced Friday. Barosso garnered Big West Men's Coach of the Year honors for the second consecutive season after leading the Titan men's track and field program to its third consecutive Big West Championship last weekend.

BIG WEST RELEASEIRVINE, Calif. — Matthew Uballe has been named The Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. Uballe set a school record in the men's 100m hurdles at home in the Battle in the OC on Thursday, running the event in a time of 13.87. He became the first person in program history to run the event in under 14 seconds, besting the previous record of 14.04 set by Charles Kelly last season. Uballe's time is the fastest in The Big West so far this season.
