The Athelstan Museum is set to showcase an exhibition, featuring the will of Elizabeth Peacock, one of the four Malmesbury women tried for witchcraft in 1672. The will, with her 'mark,' is being loaned by the Wiltshire History Centre. This free exhibition will open to the public on Tuesday, June 13, and will remain until the end of July. In addition to the exhibition, a multimedia trail on Explore Malmesbury will open on Wednesday, June 8, with further historical insights.

5 1/1 MALMEBURY'S mayor and town council attended a special Choral Evensong service. Mayor Stephen James was joined by the deputy mayors of Amesbury, Cirencester, Royal Wootton Bassett, and the mayors and deputy mayors of Highworth and Marlborough. The service was held on Sunday, June 1, and was led by the Rev Oliver Ross in the abbey. The procession to the abbey began from the town hall and was led by the warden and freeman of Malmesbury.

6 1/1 A NEW long table is bringing people together in the heart of a community garden in Stroud. The 5.5 metre table now sits in Charlea Community Gardens in Brimscombe and is made from a single piece of wood reclaimed from a Himalayan cedar tree near Marshfield, Bath. It was built by craftsman Pete Ditchfield and carried into place by eight volunteers.

Charlotte Karadag, rooms division manager at De Vere Tortworth Court, won an Acorn Award, which celebrates talented individuals in hospitality. The Caterer's Acorn Awards, also known as the 30 under 30, have been awarded to more than 1,000 young stars since 1986. Ms Karadag was recognised for her 'exceptional leadership and operational expertise' since taking over the rooms division in September 2024.
