Gloucester-based John Dix Travel is exploring the option of a new bus which would serve Archway, Marling and Stroud High School. The route pick pupils up from Waterwells, Whitminster, Arlingham, Frampton, Eastington, Great Oldbury and Stonehouse.

Yate Town Council is saying farewell to a 'true cornerstone' of their heritage family, David Hardill. The town council says that the community heritage officer will retire from his post at the end of the month.

2 1/1 A NOVEL initiative has enabled a disabled bridge player to rejoin his Wotton under Edge club. Tim had a life-altering accident in October 2023, resulting in him being confined to a wheelchair and with very limited use of his hands. While in hospital in Southmead, he was helped by a charity called SpecialEffect, who developed a system that enabled Tim to operate a tablet using a joystick.
