LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The University of Michigan Health-Sparrow has a new president. Ann Marie Creed, who has extensive experience in healthcare leadership, has been named president of the University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing. She will begin her new job on May 19. Creed has been a vice president of Henry Ford Health System in Detroit since 2012, overseeing surgical services and operations, and currently as leader of system capacity command and patient logistics.

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Bath Township Police Department appointed a new police chief. Matt Mardigian will now lead the department. He was approved during a Bath Township Board of Trustees meeting on Monday night. Mardigian has served the department since 2002. During his time with the department, Mardigian served as a sergeant and lieutenant. He was also a member of the Clinton County Special Operations Team (SOT) for 16 years and later became Commander of the team.

JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - The Jackson Police Department is investigating a shooting where one person was hurt. The shooting happened Sunday in the 300 block of North Gorham Street. Jackson Police said the victim was taken to the hospital, and a suspect was detained. Police have not released the identity of the victim or suspect.
