The play is based on a modern adaptation of the Greek comedy by Aristophanes, centering on two miscreants, Pithetaerus and Eulpides. Convinced that humans are doomed, they plan to collaborate with birds to take over the world.

    In the highly anticipated first match of the season, the Palo Alto High School varsity football team (1-0) crushed the Fremont High School Firebirds (0-1), 28-10, Friday night at home. Viking head coach David DeGeronimo said starting the season with a win is rewarding and the new lineup looks promising. “We try to get better every week and just win some ball games so starting off 1-0 is nice,” DeGeronimo said.
