    A nearly $100,000 grant for the Brentwood Recovery Home. Brentwood has received a $99,000 Resilient Communities Fund Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to grow their Peer Support Training Program. This program empowers individuals with lived experience of recovery - or who are considered "alumni" of the program - to help support others on their own recovery journey.

    Fire investigators continue to look into what caused a fire in downtown Windsor earlier this week. A fire broke out in the 700 block of Pelissier Street on Thursday afternoon, and one man was removed from a building with burns. The fire had been contained on the first floor but had spread to the second floor of the building. Nine Windsor Fire and Rescue vehicles were on scene and crews were able to put out the blaze.

    The Windsor-Essex Adventure Market will return to the region this Saturday. The event will be held at the LaSalle Event Centre where a number of exhibitors, interactive booths, and local food vendors will be set up.     The Windsor Police Service is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect connected to a string of retail thefts in the city's west end. Police state that in April and June, the suspect entered a business in the 700 block of Patricia Road and allegedly stole over $1,000 worth of merchandise. On each occasion, the suspect left the store without making any attempt to pay for the various items.
