Park County Animal Shelter (PCAS) has recently faced community concern regarding modifications to its spay/neuter policy and apparent management changes. It is important to note that cats have a relatively short postpartum window before they can become pregnant again, often within 2-3 weeks after giving birth.

We are incredibly fortunate to call Cody, Wyoming, our home. It’s remarkable that our small town, which sees an average of five million visitors pass through during the peak season, has been recognized as one of the Best Small Towns by USA Today readers for the second year in a row. This achievement truly reflects the special nature of our community and its residents. In a world where genuine hospitality seems increasingly rare, we believe that Cody stands out.

Recently, we’ve had quite a few events happening in Cody. This past weekend we saw the Founders’ Day Banquet, Buffalo Bill Birthday Ball, Taste of the Trails, plus all of the sporting events. The town is not sleeping. We often think of winter as a time to “hibernate,” but we’d say that’s up for debate. With the cold and the recent snow storms, staying inside under a warm blanket with a good book sounds very appealing. However, there is plenty to do around Cody during these winter months.
